The 1st Annual Food Truck & Rock Carnival is bringing it's live music and merriment to Oak Ridge Park in Clark, New Jersey during the weekend of September 18-20, 2015. The inaugural event, created by John D'Esposito of GameChanger World, is a complete lifestyle festival filled with events for families, live music fans, and overall fans of entertainment. The festival is expected to bring in approximately 35,000 people for the entire weekend. When asked how he planned on attracting so many people to the event, John D'Esposito told All Access Live, "it's going be like Wayne's World, you know, if you book them, they will come." What John is referring to is the incredible lineup of artists that signed on for the festival one by one rather quickly after the creation and announcement of the idea. John told All Access Live that when choosing which genres to book artists from, such as metal, classic rock and so on, that the idea was to make it "Jersey" and unique to what has yielded success over the years with the rock scene in New Jersey. With well-known artists such as Godsmack, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, Black Label Society, Anthrax, Stone Temple Pilots, Sevendust, Clutch, Three Days Grace, Slaughter, Skid Row, Lita Ford, LA Guns, Otherwise and many, many more, it is sure to attract music fans from across the country and even internationally.
The festival isn't simply about the music though. With free admission to the food truck and carnival grounds, the activities are endless and are beyond the traditional New Jersey fairs that you see in counties throughout the state. What makes it so much better than your traditional county fair? For starters, The Food Truck and Rock Carnival has partnered with micro breweries that will be offering some of the finest craft beers from around the country in the carnival area and with a limited selection in the concert area beer gardens. John D'Esposito told All Access Live that there definitely will be a northeastern U.S. brewer "flavor" at the carnival from places like Vermont, Massachusetts and the like. John put it best when he said, "even beer festivals don't have over 22 craft beers at their festival, yet our beer village will have that and more to offer."
In addition to a wide selection of craft beers, there will be over 40 food trucks at the carnival offering just about every type of cuisine imaginable throughout each day of The Food Truck & Rock Carnival. The food trucks aren't there just to satisfy your appetites, they're also there to compete for amazing prize packages that will help them grow their brands. On Friday night, guests of the carnival will receive a ballot to cast their vote for their favorite truck. Celebrity judges will host a full evening of activities and amazing performances Friday night and at the end of the evening, one lucky truck will take home the 1st ever Food Truck Championship and associated prizes. The Food Truck & Rock Carnival website has more information about the schedule of the food truck competition, so be sure to check it out.
So after you've tried the full array of craft beers and have sampled the 40+ food trucks, what else is there to do? How about some pro-wrestling? GameChanger Wrestling (GCW) will be presenting: WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The King of Ultraviolence Nick Fn Gage, The Bad Boy Joey Janela, The Dirty Daddy Chris Dickinson, GCW Tag Team Champions The Beast Squad Kyle The Beast & Monsta Mack, GCW Extreme Champion Pinkie Sanchez, The Cold Hearted Playa Danny DeManto, The Escort Erik Andretti, Chainsaw Joe Gacy, EYFBO and many more! The Food Truck and Rock Carnival has partnered with JCW Wrestling and will be bringing live, up-close wrestling action during three shows daily that will lead to the Rock Carnival Championship. Be sure to check out The Food Truck & Rock Carnival website for more details on the wrestling events.
Wrestling not your thing? Or if it is, maybe you need some more awesome entertainment? How about checking out the Hell on Wheels BMX Stunt Show that will invade The Food Truck & Rock Carnival on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th? Hell on Wheels is the nation's premier action sports BMX stunt show and will feature fast-paced, high flying action that will be sure to blow away fans young and old. Whether you've seen this type of show before or not, you won't want to miss what Hell on Wheels will be bringing to The Food Truck & Rock Carnival.
With live music playing, pro-wrestling going on, BMX stunt shows going on in your face, carnival rides galore, could it be possible that you might here someone say, "I'm bored?" Not likely when you realize there is a Call of Duty tournament taking place hosted by GameLoud! With so much going on, it may actually be hard to remember that it is a carnival after all and that there will be action packed, high energy amusement rides from 12pm to 10pm daily for you to enjoy. Rides will require tickets or wristbands and can be purchased on site. There are discount ride programs that will be available on Friday, September 18th with unlimited ride wristbands available for purchase. Check out The Food Truck & Rock Carnival website for more information.
Still need more entertainment? How about some comedians, illusionists, hypnotists and karaoke? Maybe not all in that order? The Food Truck & Rock Carnival will feature appearances from world-renowned illusionist Jason Bishop and hypnotist Dan Candell who will perform twice daily. The Stress Factory Comedy Hour will feature VH1 That Metal Show's Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine, Last Comic Standing contestant Rich Vos, Comedy Central regular Big Jay Oakerson as well as The Stress Factory owner Vinnie Brand and more. The RockStar Karaoke contest will be taking place as well for those that want to make their own concert.
So many festivals out there boast many things to attract guests and fans, however, the 1st Annual Food Truck & Rock Carnival is certainly one that is already living up to it's expectations and will be sure to exceed them during the weekend of September 18th - September 20th. The 2nd annual version of the carnival is already being planned out and will be sure to attract even more entertainment and offer more to guests. According to John D'Esposito, the carnival creator, it will be "a complete lifestyle festival where a dad can bring a son and mom can check out Mark Slaughter all at the same time." With a statement like that, how can one miss such an opportunity? See you at Oak Ridge Park in September!
